I swear Tesla drivers are the new BMW drivers...

rude driver
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:11 |

That takes some gall. They didn’t even apologize or offer to pay for the power they used? Come on people...

Lets see, trespass, theft (of electricity), obstructing a public pathway, hazard to pedestrians,
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:12 |

Literally asking for you car to be vandalized if it were someone less decent.

Obligatory

I wonder how much more range you get by not using turn signals.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:15 |

What an assbag. I wouldn’t have called the rozzers, but I would’ve called a tow truck.

It doesn’t take too much effort or imagination t o have this go bad, either. That's a big draw on the power that probably wasn't set up for it. Old man sleeping inside with a CPAP that goes when the breaker does.

I used to work at Joint Base Andrews, and a guy with a Chevy Volt would do this all the time in our construction trailer parking lot. He’d show up in the morning, park in our gravel lot, plug in his Volt to our outside trailer outlets, and then walk across the road to his building. We never made an issue out of it because we weren’t paying for power, and it seemed like a dick move to bitch him out.
This though, deserved at least an egg or two on that windshield.

So....what if you were fortunate enough to lose charge in front of a house with outside washer and dryer, and that juicy 220V outlet is ready and waiting ?
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:26 |
|
At the very least getting your cord run over by a lawnmower “on accident.”
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:35 |
|
erm, I would have asked and paid for it.....not just plugged in and walked off
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:41 |
|
Clearly the outlet’s fault. It was literally asking for it.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:43 |

I’d just call a tow company. The “storage” fees he’d have to pay to get it would be justice enough.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:49 |

Unplug first or that may be a hell of a shock. Then plug back in

I feel this story is only 1/2 Florida Man. Real Florida man would’ve had that car on fire, slashed tires, or the cord plugged into their Pool cooler full of Corona .
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:55 |
|
That’s the route I would take.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 09:59 |

It’s called AAA use it! Duh! Don’t do what this guy did. One can only hope karma will bite this Tesla testicle brained tw@t hard.

This is when everyone needs that one friend with a HD truck and a tow strap.....
Another thought - Since the car is technically at the curb, does that mean it is public property like your trash is?

“ICEing” done right!
![]() 07/26/2019 at 10:16 |

That tells you everything you need to know about Tesla owners.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 10:19 |
|
And your car "accidentally" bumped into. Then "accidentally" sprayed with grass clippings.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 10:34 |

12 hours on 120V will used about $1 worth of electricity . No apology is wrong though.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 10:40 |

ICE me bro!
![]() 07/26/2019 at 10:40 |

And the tesla owner would be walking out to 4 un repairable flats
![]() 07/26/2019 at 11:07 |
|
Ha, at least leave a note with a $20 bill if you’re going to do this. Not that I’m saying you should. But if you were doing this, I think people would react a lot better if you did.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 11:18 |

Right, it’s not necessarily the value, but the gesture would have made a world of difference, vs. coming off as an entitled POS.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 11:38 |
|
I would of turned the circuit breaker off and left the charger plugged in :P
![]() 07/26/2019 at 12:40 |
|
Take the charging cable and play dumb when the owner looks for it.
![]() 07/26/2019 at 12:43 |

doesn’t matter, this is one of those cases were it really is down to the principle. you don’t take other people’s stuff period unless they offer it to you.
edit: and remember, not only did this self-centered jerk entitle himself to someone else’s power, he parked on their grass and trespassed on their property to do so.

I think I can hear every Opponaut’s thoughts right now, and it’s “I WISH A MOTHERFUCKER WOULD”
